Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (Python) for a UK-based digital bank. The project focuses on onboarding customers to the core banking system and enhancing savings products.

The customer is a UK-based financial services provider specializing in digital banking solutions. Operating on a fully cloud-based platform, the company offers a range of innovative products, including savings accounts, loans, and mortgages, designed to cater to specific customer needs. With a strong focus on simplicity, agility, and customer-centric design, they aim to modernize the banking experience. The company is regulated by the UK’s financial authorities and has earned recognition for its innovative approach in the financial services sector.

The project is focused on enabling the onboarding of new customers to the core banking system for various savings accounts, including fixed-term, easy access, and notice accounts. The goal is to diversify the savings product offering, increase market competitiveness, and support the bank's mortgage offering by enhancing liquidity.

Responsibilities:

• Building and implementing the automation framework for native mobile application.
• Working to implement Appium for app testing, as well as integrating with Browserstack.
• Working on the delivery of the savings app, which will integrate with an existing web-based application.
• Running tests through the front-end app and verifying the output in AWS services.

Must-haves:

• Experience in testing mobile applications for 5+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for automated testing of native Android and iOS applications.
• Experience with savings or financial products, with the ability to independently identify test scenarios and coverage without detailed test specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS, particularly for validating integrations between frontend mobile apps and backend services.
• Knowledge of Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience working with cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
