Andersen, an international IT сompany, invites a Senior Ruby Developer to work on a large-scale project for one of our US customers.

The customer is an American global information company (ranked 11th on Forbes’ list of the fastest-growing innovative companies). The customer produces its own unique software product, the users of which are world-renowned companies (NASA, Samsung, Sony, etc.).

The project is the development and maintenance of dedicated microservices, creation of integrations with other system modules, working with a shared database.

Tech stack on the project: Ruby; Ruby on Rails; RabbitMQ, Kafka; Azure, Git, MS SQL, Postgres; Elastic Search; .NET, Python, Java.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborating with the team to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
• Implementing security and data protection measures.
• Optimizing application performance and scalability.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensuring code quality through different types of testing and continuous integration.

Must-haves:

• Commercial experience as a Ruby Developer for 5+ years.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails from 5+ years
• Experience working with API integrations.
• Experience in writing integration tests to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Experience with MS SQL and Postgres.
• Understanding of REST API principles.
• Understanding and ability to work with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Basic understanding of DevOps processes.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of gRPC framework and its use cases.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of .NET, Python, or Java
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
