Andersen is hiring a System Analyst for a U.S.-based project with a global travel payment provider. The role involves supporting the development of a payment platform to improve merchant efficiency.

The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world’s airlines. The network consists of major airlines that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of merchants around the world for air, rail, cruise and travel agency payments.

The project is a payment technology that will enhance the efficiency and profitability of merchant payment operations through a comprehensive, airline-centric payment platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating closely with Solution Architects, Domain Architects (Data, Infra, Security), Business Analysts and stakeholders to refine and translate complex business requirements into detailed, technically feasible system specifications.
• Documenting and mapping end-to-end functional and non-functional requirements across payment flows, reconciliation logic, tokenization, PSP integrations, user-facing dashboards and regulatory constraints.
• Analyzing and structuring API interactions with multiple subsystems, including payment processors, analytics engines, external providers and internal components.
• Coordinating requirements gathering and validation across internal teams and third-party vendors, ensuring traceability and version control.
• Defining and maintaining API-level specifications, data contracts and system behaviour logic, including error handling, failover flows, and SLA-critical paths.
• Participating in workshops, grooming sessions and backlog refinement to help scope MVP and subsequent releases of the platform.

Must-haves:

• Experience in system analysis in fintech, banking, or global transaction platforms, ideally, within complex enterprise environments for 3+ years.
• Deep understanding of payment ecosystem components and flows, including PSP integrations, smart routing, tokenization, etc.
• Experience with API specifications (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger), event-driven systems and high-availability architecture patterns.
• Ability to decompose business requirements into structured technical artefacts: use cases, sequence diagrams, interface contracts and integration specs.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary architecture teams (infra, security, data), understanding the downstream impacts of decisions across layers.
• Strong skills in documentation, stakeholder communication and versioned requirement tracking.
• Ability to communicate across business and technical stakeholders in a distributed team, not just asking questions but proposing value.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.
